The Journal of the Legal Profession is the nation’s first publication exploring legal ethics confronting attorneys. The Journal published its first volume in 1976. What is unique about The Journal is that it is applicable to every aspect of the field. From a trial lawyer’s duty to research potential jurors on social media to the liability of self-driving cars, legal ethics addresses the most relevant issues facing the profession today. The Journal has also broadened its vision to invite interdisciplinary scholarship and writing related to the future of legal education and the profession. The Journal strives to publish cutting edge articles on ethical issues, facilitate symposia that include legal scholars, attorneys from diverse practice areas, judges, and social scientists.
